Taking a Peek at Yamaha Generators

For many people there is simply no getting around the need for an industrial generator. Between the power that is required for some tasks and the constant repetitive usage, they are often the best choice. With this in mind, Yamaha generators offers 5 different industrial models available ranging from the small 2,800-watt model to the larger 6,600-watt model. The biggest problem that Yamaha generators have when you are looking at their industrial models is the lack of power.

With companies such as Honda offering industrial models that can easily carry 10,000 watts or more of power, Yamaha maxing out their industrial line at only 6,600 watts is a bit of a let down to say the least. Combine that with a decibel rating that is almost identical to the larger models that other companies are offering and in the industrial field Yamaha generators are a huge disappointment.

Bringing some good news is that the big boy Yamaha offers is only 185 pounds, compared to more than 200 pounds that most other industrial models are. But consider, this is only a mixed blessing since you are also losing large amounts of watt capacity. Fuel efficiency speaks well for the models with an average of 8.3 hours of use at 50% load capacity on a single 5.5-gallon tank of fuel.

Overall, the industrial line of Yamaha generators really is a bit of a disappointment and with the price tags associated for many it is a huge disappointment. For those who are unsure of what they need, you can often find a decent sized model that can suit most of your needs if you are only looking to power a few small items, however you won’t be backing up the power source for an entire house on the available models that are currently offered.

With new models constantly released, it is a possibility that Yamaha steps up to the plate and really grasps the idea of industrial power with a much larger capacity model in the near future. In the meantime, those who can handle needs with a maximum of 6,000 watts can find a nice assortment of models offered from Yamaha, while those with needs for larger capacity will need to search somewhere else for their generator needs. Remember, selecting a model that is a bit larger than your actual needs is best to ensure a long life, as well as reliable power supply.
